

In Sleeping Dogs, you play as Wei Shen, an undercover cop tasked to infiltrate the Sun On Yee, a Hong Kong triad. Sound pretty cool? Well, there’s actually a game like that called Sleeping Dogs. Imagine a John Woo action film mixed with the plot of The Departed, and having the gameplay of Grand Theft Auto. This has led many gamers to speculate on the future of the studio.

Additionally, Bioware’s last two games, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Anthem, performed poorly in sales. With Disney lacking interest in making Star Wars games, it is highly unlikely a KOTOR 3 will ever be released. Apparently, Bioware had pitched the idea to EA at least once. The immense success and popularity of the series begged for a sequel. KOTOR and KOTOR 2 sold over 4 million copies by 2008 (number probably higher now). Moreover, the games sold remarkably well. These became staple mechanics for future Bioware RPGs. The game provided moral choices, branching dialog options, different light side and dark side abilities, party-based combat and more. Not only did the game allow for players to become a Sith or Jedi, it was an RPG that set the standard for many Bioware RPGs to come. It has been 15 years since KOTOR II was released, and many fans are praying for a sequel. Although it improved on many gameplay aspects of the first game, KOTOR 2 was hampered by a rushed development cycle and many aspects of the game and story were left unfinished. The success of the first game spawned a sequel, KOTOR 2. The first Knights of the Old Republic ( KOTOR ) game was a predictable but epic story of good versus evil.
